Nick Downes Showreel

I am a native of Leicester, but have been based in Southsea on the South Coast for many years now.
I attended the University of Oxford where I gained a degree in Modern Languages.
Having taught for a while, in 1981 I co-founded SCAT Theatre Co. with Clive Holland and went on to become an experienced actor, director, writer and workshop leader. I have worked for a broad range of theatre companies in many different contexts, including Shakespeare and other classics, street theatre, small/medium scale touring, fringe and cabaret.
Recent film roles include Mick in STRAYS for New Edo/Roto Productions, Brian in Love Stuffed for London Film School and Mark in Promises for Trash Arts.
I've done some TV work, shortly to be seen in Unsolved Murders on ITV.

I've written extensively for stage, as well as a number of short stories and poems.
